Adult Sunday School

At West Market, we celebrate the diversity of the current 12 adult classes. Each one, in particular ways, offers opportunities to deepen our relationship with God, with fellow class members, and with the community through outreach.  We hope the following information will help you choose classes or studies that you would like to visit or join.  We encourage you to visit enough classes to find the one that is right for you.

If you need more information or assistance in choosing a class, please contact Rev. Jane Brannock at the church (275-4587, vm 13).

Adult Classes:

Asbury-Covenant
Room 409
The Asbury-Covenant Class consists of middle to older adults, some retired and some actively employed, who are interested in continuing to grow spiritually.  A variety of teachers lead the class using the adult Bible Studies and on numerous topics of interest.  This close-knit, caring and supportive group supports the missions of the church and enjoy getting together socially and having a meal together each month.  They welcome couples, singles, widows, and widowers of any age to visit or join the class.
First Couples
Room 417

This is a vibrant and energetic class, addressing different topics each Sunday, led by various teachers from West Market Church and the community.  A quarterly class meeting, party, and special attention to family needs of class members in times of illness and grief keep this class a close group.  This class maintains a scholarship fund from which an annual scholarship is given to a religion student at Greensboro College.

Friendship
Room 401

The Friendship Class is an adult class for both couples and singles, some who work, and some who are retired. The Adult Bible Studies is followed each Sunday and the lesson is taught by various members of the West Market Church. Friendships are formed and the class members provide a strong support group for each other in times of happiness as well as sorrow, and in each member's growth in his or her walk with God. The members enjoy fellowship at a class social every two months.

Heritage
Room 408

The Heritage Class is made up of couples, some with children.  The class is kept interesting through a variety of topics.
