& Engraved Pavers
Front Entrance / Courtyard
The first group of engraved pavers has been installed in front of
the sanctuary and orders are now being taken for the second “batch”.
A paver is a great way to celebrate a significant event in your
church life, be it a wedding, a birth, confirmation, baptism, or
just to recognize a special ministry or person in your faith
journey.

upon request, or on the display table in the Gathering Space. Be
sure to visit the courtyard to see the pavers that are in place and
order today.
We hope you are as excited as we are
about our "face lift" at the front entrance to the church! We
have made the church entrance more attractive, more welcoming and
accessible, safer, and more maintenance-friendly...at the same time
showcasing one of the community's most beautiful and historic
landmarks.
A special
part of the project is the "Spirit Walk" along the sidewalk
portion of the courtyard...where bricks will be interspersed with
contrasting 8"x8" pavers, each engraved with a word reflecting one of the
"Fruits of the Spirit" - Love, Peace, Joy, Patience, Kindness, Goodness,
Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
We have also created Memorial and Honor sections
where church members may celebrate the memory or milestones (birth, baptism,
marriage, service to the church, etc.), of members of one's own family or of
the church family by engraving on one of the standard 4"x8" pavers.
The purchase of these engraved pavers will,
of course, help defray the considerable cost of the beautification project.
Order forms with payment attached (make checks
payable to WMSUMC) can be mailed to the church at: West Market Street United
Methodist Church, P. O. Box 870, Greensboro, NC 27402; or they may be turned
in to the church office.
