Worship Services |

Worship plays a vital role in the life of West Market Street United Methodist Church. In our unique architectural setting and with inspirational music on Sunday morning, worship is where we come to experience God's Spirit and be renewed to be God's people at work in the world. As it says in our bulletin at the close of the liturgy, "Our service of worship has ended. Our worship through service begins."
Hear the Sunday service on WPET 950 AM at 10:55 a.m. - Our 10:55am Sunday worship service is broadcast live each week on WPET 950 AM. Winter sometimes means snow and ice. The following is our policy in the event of bad weather:
On Sundays, there will be a worship service at 10:55am. We do not plan to cancel this service. If two or three gather, someone will be here to lead in worship. If a decision is made to cancel the 8:30am and/or 9:40am Sunday morning worship services and Sunday School, an announcement will be placed on the church voice mail system and on the website. Simply call the church office, 336-275-4587, or log onto www.wmsumc.org for information.
For Wednesday Church Night, a decision will be made by 2:00pm and information will again be placed on the voice mail system and website if the offices are closed. We do not plan to cancel after 2:00pm.
WFMY Channel 2 and FOX 8 will also be notified of any West Market Street United Methodist Church closings. You may register online at the WFMY Website to receive a message concerning our closing. Click line at top of that webpage that says "Click here to sign up for text messaging closings alert...", and fill out the form.
