Angela Roberson

Ministry Coordinator

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Angela spent most of her adulthood in Louisiana. She has an undergraduate degree from Nicholls State University (BA in Literary Studies) and is currently working towards her Masters in Divinity at Southern Methodist University (SMU), Perkins School of Theology. Angela grew up unchurched and found a home at a United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge, LA when she was 21. It was there that she learned her first stories of Jesus, was baptized, and entered into family ministry. After serving for ten years, Angela was offered a position at another UMC in her area where she answered the call to pastoral ministry, planted a church, and served two congregations. After six years, Angela and her family decided it was time to follow new opportunities in Greensboro.

Angela's passion is reaching unchurched and dechurched people and connecting them to the community of faith. She loves chasing new ideas and getting creative in the church to better connect to the people both inside and outside of the faith community. She has a keen eye for what's working and what's not, and loves creating systems to help the church better serve and reach the people.

When not reading, writing, making spreadsheets, and connecting people to community, you can find Angela at home with her family. She and her husband, Zac, have been together for 22 years and they share two children: Koen (18) and Shae (15); they also have two pets, Fitz (dog) and Percy (kitten). Together they love to listen to music, cook big meals, play board games, travel, hike, and camp.
