We strive to do this by focusing on the following 4 Rs:
- RESPECT for God's creation.
- RAISE AWARENESS of our Christian commitment to caring for God's creation and opportunities to practice environmental stewardship.
- RESPONSIBILITY for the impact that our church and individual lives have upon God's creation.
- REJOICE in the goodness and beauty of God's creation and out efforts to care for it through conscientious practices and measurement of results.
This ministry is highly involved in working with West Market to become better stewards of God's creation through organizational wide waste reduction programs, environmentally themed fundraisers, and educational talks from guest speakers.

The purpose of the Care4Creation Ministry Team is to develop a greater awareness of the calling and responsibility of all Christians to care for God's creation. Our goal is that through education and institutional consumption and practices, we may offer strategies and opportunities for the West Market Street United Methodist Church family to positively affect our human impact on the environment.
